Topic:

A Resolution to the Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission Supporting a Multi-Modal Planning Grant Application for Study of the U.S. 15/29 Corridor Between Gainesville and Culpeper County

Topic Description:

There are $3.4 million in funds available in statewide competitive grants through the Local and regional Corridor Planning Grants Program and the Land Use Plan Development Assistance program.  The 2007 VDOT Multi-Modal Planning Grants submission deadline is April 13, 2007.

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission (RRRC) is submitting a proposal on behalf of the region for this U.S. 15/29 study.  General details are outlined in the attached outline from Mr. Peter M. Schwartz.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
