A Work Session to Discuss
the Creation of and Funding of the Industrial, Commercial
and Governmental Directed Assistance Review Team (ICGDART)
|
|
Topic Description: |
|
Recently, Chairman Graham
and Supervisor Downey met with the County Administrator,
Director of the Department of Community Development, and his
Division heads. During the meeting, the Supervisors
challenged the member of the Department of Community
Development to “think out of the box” regarding ideas to
help speed the review of industrial and community
development projects. The Department has suggested the
establishment of an Industrial Commercial and Governmental
Directed Assistance Review Team (ICGDART). The purpose of
the team is to provide start to finish services to business
and government development applications with a proactive
approach philosophy. The annual cost to staff the program
would be approximately $251,277, of which approximately
one-half would be raised by increased development fees.
The remaining $126,000 would be funded out of the General
Fund. |
