A Resolution to Authorize the County Administrator to Establish a Cash Drawer/Petty Cash Account in the Amount of $250.00 for Use by the Department of Environmental Services


Topic Description:

Environmental Services has utilized a petty cash/cash drawer account at the scale house for a number of years.  The Department has requested that the amount be increased from $150.00 to $250.00.  In accordance with existing policy the establishment or increase of such an account requires Board authorization.  The Finance Department is prepared to assist and monitor the account.


Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The account is primarily used for making change. Small expenses that may be necessary utilizing the account from time to time will be within the budget of the Department.
