A Resolution to Enter into a
Lease with Essar Aviation, LLC, for Construction ofa Fourth
T-Hangar at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport |

Topic Description: |
|
The Airport Committee has
reviewed a proposal from Essar Aviation, LLC, to lease
property for the construction of a T-Hangar. Subsequent to
receiving this proposal, Fauquier County was successful in
obtaining grant funds for 80% of the design costs related to
site improvements for the hangar. The proposed lease
requires Essar Aviation to provide the local matching share
of the grant.
The proposal from Essar for
the thirty-year land lease is consistent with the layout of
the Airport Master Plan. Essar Aviation proposes to provide
funding for the local share of the design and site
improvement grant, as well as pay an annual lease payment of
$.37 per square foot. The Airport Committee has reviewed
the Essar Aviation proposal and recommends approval.

Conduct
a public hearing to receive citizen comments and consider
adoption of attached resolution. |

Financial Impacts Analysis: |
|
There
is no County cost required for the construction of the
T-Hangar. The Airport Fund will receive annual lease income
associated with the project that will assist in funding the
maintenance and operation of the airport. |
