Resolution to Request that the Virginia Department of
Transportation Install “No Parking” Signs on Route 17
(Winchester Road) South of U.S. Interstate 66

Description: |

At the request of Scott Filling, resident along Route 17,
and with the concurrence of the Board of Supervisors and the
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), “No Parking”
signs would be installed on Route 17 (Winchester Road) south
of U.S. Interstate 66. There are existing “No Parking”
signs in this area, and the new signs would extend the area
where parking is prohibited for an additional ±1000 feet
toward Warrenton. These signs will be placed at locations
which VDOT deems appropriate.

Consider adoption of the
attached resolution. |

Transportation Committee
Recommendation: |
|
On February 23, 2005, the County’s Transportation Committee
recommended that “No Parking” signs be installed on Route 17
south of U.S. Interstate 66. |

Financial Impact Analysis: |

VDOT will fund the installation of the signs. |
