Meade Palmer Memorial

Topic Description:

Recently the County received a project proposal, draft memorandum of understanding and conceptual drawing for the planned Meade Palmer Memorial, which is envisioned to be located next to the Warren Green Building, along Culpeper Street within the Town of Warrenton. Following  the Board's work session and a planned work session of the Warrenton Town Council, it is anticipated that an updated memorandum of understanding will be forwarded to the respective governing bodies in May 2002 for consideration.  

This proposal is being forwarded to the Board of Supervisors through the Town/County Liaison Committee, which is supportive of this project and has offered to serve as a communication conduit for the three parties involved in the memorandum of understanding.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Receive briefing on the proposed project and provide comments relating to the draft memorandum of understanding.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

This project will not require County Government financial support.
