Topic: 

A Resolution to Request State Funding to Expand the Clarke-Fauquier-Frederick-Winchester (CFFW) Regional Adult Detention Center

Topic Description:

Due to overcrowding and diminished capacity, CFFW is requesting state funding for the expansion of the facility in order to ensure public safety and efficient operations.  In order to obtain State funding, CFFW submitted a Community Based Corrections Plan to the Virginia Department of Corrections.  This plan is designed to request the reimbursement of up to one-half of the pro rata share of reimbursable capital costs to each locality.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
