RESOLUTION A
RESOLUTION TO DETERMINE COMPENSATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS AND PLANNING COMMISSION EFFECTIVE WHEREAS,
the Code of Virginia provides that, prior to July 1 of the year in which
at least half of the Board of Supervisors are elected, the current Board
may, by a recorded vote of the majority, establish compensation levels for
Board of Supervisors members and officers, which shall become effective on
January 1st of the following year; and WHEREAS, the Code of Virginia provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by a recorded vote of its members, establish the compensation levels for members of the Planning Commission and officers; and WHEREAS,
the Board of Supervisors has determined that an adjustment to the base
compensation rates of Board of Supervisors members and Planning
Commissioners, to become effective January 1, 2004, is necessary and
appropriate; and WHEREAS,
the Board of Supervisors has determined that the level of adjustment
should be based on the average pay adjustment funded for County employees
for the four fiscal years which constitute the current Board of
Supervisors term, and that the previously established leadership
increments shall remain unchanged; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED
by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 21st day of April 2003,
That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors does hereby determine that
the annual compensation for the Board of Supervisors shall be set,
effective RESOLVED
FURTHER, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby determine that the
annual compensation for the Planning Commission shall be set, effective |
