Topic: 

A Resolution to Initiate Consideration of a Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to Create a Marshall Gateway Special District

Topic Description:

The Marshall Service District Committee has made recommendations which are intended to create a mixed use gateway at the Route 17 entranceway to Marshall Service District.  At this point, it is appropriate to adopt a zoning ordinance text amendment to implement the district.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

It is anticipated that the proposed amendment will result in rezonings which will increase the commercial tax base within the Marshall Service District.

Identify any other Departments, Organizations or Individuals that would be affected by this request:

None
