Topic: 

A Work Session to Consider a Resolution to Protect, Preserve and Identify Family Cemeteries, Graveyards and Burial Sites in Fauquier County

Topic Description:

The Southern Fauquier Historical Society, Inc. is requesting and will demonstrate that without an adopted policy by the Board the documented information relating to family cemeteries is being ignored and these historical and protected resources are threatened by future development and unknowing property owners.  The Board is requested to hear the presentation, receive the report, and consider adoption of the proposed resolution.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a work session.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

This requested policy will have no financial impact on the general revenue.  All research will be by volunteers and persons of interest.
