In April 2007, the County
Administrator executed an Agreement with the Volunteer Fire
and Rescue Association (VFRA) and the Volunteer Companies to
implement ambulance revenue recovery in accordance with
Board of Supervisors’ resolution. As part of this
Agreement, the parties agreed to appoint an Ambulance
Billing Oversight Committee to make recommendations to the
Board of Supervisors and the Volunteer Fire and Rescue
Association on the need for expanded staffing, quality
control, income trends, distribution formulas,
administrative needs, and amendments or revisions to the
Agreement.
In accordance with the Agreement, the membership of the
Oversight Committee will consist of The Association
President or his designated representative, the Department
of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) Chief or his
designated representative, the Chairperson of the EMS
Committee, a representative from each of the Association’s
geographical regions—north, central and south, A DFES
Operational Supervisor, and the Fauquier County
Administrator. |
