PROCLAMATION A PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE AMANDA RACHOCKI FOR ATTAINMENT OF THE PRESTIGIOUS GIRL SCOUT GOLD AWARD WHEREAS, the Girl Scout Gold Award is a prestigious award given to fourteen to eighteen year old scouts by the Girl Scouts of America; and WHEREAS, only approximately 5,000 Gold Awards are bestowed each year; and WHEREAS, development of a Gold Award project requires outstanding leadership, and provides an opportunity to draw on a scout’s personal values, commitment to the community and education; and WHEREAS, Ms. Amanda Rachocki was recently the recipient of a Girl Scout Gold Award; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to commend Ms. Rachocki for this achievement; now, therefore, be it PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of May 2007, That the Board hereby recognizes and commends Amanda Rachocki for attaining the prestigious Girl Scouts Gold Award.
