RESOLUTIONA RESOLUTION TO INITIATE A REZONING APPLICATION FOR THE RODGERS FAMILY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP PROPERTY ADJOINING THE CENTRAL SPORTS COMPLEX PROPERTYWHEREAS, the Rodgers Family Limited Partnership is the owner of Parcel #6993-07-7710 consisting of 60.03 acres that adjoins the County-owned Central Sports Complex; and WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors has entered into a three-party agreement (hereinafter “Agreement”) with the Rodgers Family Limited Partnership for the acquisition of approximately 4.5 acres (BLA Area) to be incorporated into the Central Sports Complex property and the Fauquier County Fair Board to lease approximately 6 acres of the sports complex property for parking and other fair-related purposes; and WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors agreed to initiate an amendment to the zoning district boundary for that portion of the 60.03 acres located outside of the BLA Area to an industrial classification, subject to the submission of proffers to address restrictions outlined in the Agreement; and WHEREAS, Section 13-202 of the Zoning Ordinance authorizes amendments to the zoning district map to be initiated by the Board of Supervisors by a resolution of intent to amend, which resolution, upon adoption, shall be referred to the Planning Commission; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of May 2007, That the Board does hereby initiate an amendment to the zoning boundary for Parcel #6993-07-7710 to the following zoning district designations as shown on Exhibit 1, described as “Central Park/Rodgers Property Exhibit Plat” and attached hereto:
; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Department of Community Development is hereby directed to work with the property owners on the preparation and submittal of proffers in standard form that reflect the restrictions outlined in the Agreement and the applicable provisions of the Warrenton Service District Plan, and to process the zoning boundary amendment in accordance with the provisions of Section 13-202 of the Zoning Ordinance. |
