A Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Real Estate for Airport Purposes and Application and Acceptance of Grant Funds for the Purchase

Topic Description:

Fauquier County has negotiated the purchase of the remaining three properties in Phase 2 of the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport Master Plan.  The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved the purchases.   The attached resolution authorizes the purchase of the properties and application for and acceptance of grant funds related thereto.  The purchase prices are as follows: 

Krause  $400,500 (5.05 acres I-2 zoning)

Morris  $150,000 (1.001 acres I-2 zoning)

Durham $200,000 (2.0 acres  I-2 zoning)

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

The share of the proposed contract prices referenced above and incidental acquisition costs is as follows:

Krause -   $400,500
Estimated Final Services Amount - $89,000
