Topic: 

A Resolution to Adopt a Revised County of Fauquier Records Management Plan

Topic Description:

The Virginia Public Records Act, Code of Virginia Section 42.1-76 et seq., requires localities to establish and maintain a program for management and preservation of the records of its offices and departments.  By resolution of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors dated April 19, 2004, the County of Fauquier Records Management Plan was adopted.  The Plan has recently been reviewed and the attached resolution approves a revised Records Management Plan.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
