Due to the
relocation and construction on Sowego Road (Route 611), the
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has requested
that 0.04 miles of the old location of Sowego Road be
abandoned. The portion to be abandoned is shown on the
sketch attached with VDOT’s request. In conjunction with
new road construction, the Board of Supervisors has the
authority to abandon roads by resolution. |

Consider adoption of the attached resolution. |
