School bus funding resolution

RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION TO FUND THE PURCHASE OF SCHOOL BUSES

WHEREAS, the School Board has requested $495,990 to purchase nine school buses to replace older models in the school bus fleet; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors recognizes the importance of maintaining an updated bus fleet to ensure student safety; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 12^th day of May 2005, That $495,990 be, and is hereby, approved for appropriation from the General Fund Balance to the Capital Improvement Program for the School Division’s purchase of nine school buses.
