Topic: 

A Resolution Abolishing Position of County Engineer and Two Assistant County Engineer Positions and Authorizing Severance Packages

Topic Description:

The Board of Supervisors decided to outsource the engineering function of Community Development.  The Board’s action to outsource that function requires the abolition of three positions: the County Engineer position and two Assistant County Engineer positions.  The resolution if adopted by the Board abolishes those positions and authorizes the County Administrator to negotiate a severance package for the effected employees in the engineer positions that would provide salary and health coverage up to four months.

Requested Action:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
