Topic:             

 

A Resolution to Declare a Reduction in Force Eliminating the Construction Assistant Position and One Construction Project Manager Position Within the Construction Management Division of the Department Of General Services

 

Topic Description:

 

The Fauquier County FY 2005 budget eliminated the Construction Assistant position and one Construction Project Manager position within the Construction Management Division of the Department of General Services.  Accordingly per Human Resources Policy 26, Reduction in Force, the Board of Supervisors must  issue a Reduction in Force Directive.  Such Reduction in Force Directive must identify the program functions to be eliminated or reduced.  

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

 

Fiscal Impact Analysis:

 

The elimination of the Construction Assistant position saves $28,733; the elimination of one Construction Project Manager position saves $71,267.  The total cost savings is $100,000.
