Resolution Authorizing a Contribution to the Fauquier Community
Theatre

Topic Description:
|
|
The
Fauquier Community Theatre has requested that the Board of
Supervisors consider granting to it an exemption from local
property taxes. Pursuant
to the Board of Supervisors adopted policy, a community non-profit
agency must receive three consecutive annual contributions from
Fauquier County reimbursing local property taxes paid to be
eligible foe consideration for tax exempt status.
This resolution will authorize the first annual
contribution.

Consider adoption of attached
resolution.

Financial
Impacts Analysis:
|
|
Based
on the current assessed value of properties owned by the Fauquier
Community Theatre and current taxes, the Commissioner of the
Revenue estimates that the fiscal impact of this action would be
$7,601 for Tax Year 2003.
