A Resolution Authorizing
the Addition of an Assistant Engineer Position and Changes to the
Finance Committee approved funding to add an additional permanent engineer
position in the Department of Community Development.
The county’s classification consultant, MAXIMUS, evaluated the
position and recommended the title of Assistant Engineer, grade 29.
The Personnel Committee has endorsed establishing an additional
position and adding the position title of Assistant Engineer to the
Classification and Compensation Plan.
During the budget process, the Board of Supervisors approved the addition of a Tourism Coordinator position for the County. MAXIMUS evaluated the position and recommended a grade of 28. The Personnel Committee has endorsed adding the position title of Tourism Coordinator, grade 28 to the Classification and Compensation Plan.

are considered in conjunction with the budget cycle.
The reclassification process has yielded three recommendations that
require Board approval for implementation.
These recommendations result in changes to the Classification and
Compensation Plan as follows:
· change in the grade of the Agricultural Development Officer position from 36 to 38;
· addition of the title of Operations Manager, grade 32; and
addition of the title of Payroll Technician, Senior, grade
The Personnel Committee has endorsed these recommended changes to the Classification and Compensation Plan.
Action of the Board of Supervisors:
Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
Funding for these actions is included in the FY04 Adopted Budget.
