Topic:     A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THAT THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION INSTALL "WATCH FOR CHILDREN" SIGNS ON FLAG ROCK DRIVE

Request:

At the request of Robert Jett, a resident of the Lee's Glen Subdivision in the Remington Service District, and with the concurrence of the Board of Supervisors and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), "Watch for Children" signage on Flag Rock Drive will be installed by VDOT.  These signs will be placed at locations VDOT deems appropriate.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of attached resolution.

Transportation Committee Recommendation:

On April 30, 2003 , the Transportation Committee recommended approval of the requested "Watch for Children" signage on Flag Rock Drive .

Financial Impacts Analysis:

There was no financial impact analysis required for this request.  VDOT will fund the installation of the signs.
