A Resolution to Amend the  FY 2003 Adopted Budget in the Amount of $901,211 - The Code of Virginia requires a public hearing when amendments to the budget exceed the lesser of $500,000 or 1% of the total budget.  Various budget related issues in the amount of $207,450 in appropriations and $693,761 in transfers totaling $901,211 have been identified which require a public hearing, including, but not limited to: Schools Technology Grant, Social Services Foster Care, County Building Renovations, Food Nutrition Living Wage for Schools, Bealeton Library, and Warrenton Middle School Roof Repair (Finance Committee, Sponsor; Bryan Tippie, Staff)
  1. Consider Granting an Easement to Dominion Virginia Power at the Landfill to Provide for the Relocation of Electric Lines and Facilities - The relocation of an existing easement and facilities is required in conjunction with the continued operation of the construction and demolition debris landfill and the installation and operation of the methane gas to electricity facility.  A public hearing is required for approval of the easement.   1. Consider a Proposed Amendment to Section 16-6(12) of the Code of Fauquier County to Permit Swimming in the Public Pools Located Within Any Park in the County - Section 16-6(12) currently prohibits swimming, bathing, or wading in any waters or waterways in or adjacent to any park.  With the proposed opening of public pools at the Northern Sports Field Complex and Vint Hill, Section 16-6(12) should be amended to permit swimming at any public pool located within any park in the County.  Any amendment to the Code of Fauquier County requires a public hearing before the adoption of a proposed Ordinance.
