Topic:

A Resolution Authorizing the Chairman to Enter Into an Open Space Commitment with Landowner

Topic Description:

One of the options for qualifying for the special assessment land use program under the open space category is to have a recorded commitment with the governing body.  The landowners listed on the enclosed resolution have signed the attached Open Space Use Agreements which, upon approval by the Board, shall remain in effect for a term of eight (8) consecutive years.  The Agreements will be returned to the owners for recordation at their expense.  At that time, the Commissioner of the Revenue will classify the parcels as open space.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
