AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 16-6(12) OF THE CODE OF FAUQUIER COUNTY TO PERMIT SWIMMING IN PUBLIC POOLS LOCATED WITHIN ANY PARK IN THE COUNTY

Topic Description:

Section 16-6(12) currently prohibits swimming, bathing, or wading in any waters or waterways in or adjacent to any park.  With the proposed opening of public pools at the Northern Sports Field Complex and Vint Hill, Section 16-6(12) should be amended to permit swimming at any public pool located within any park in the County.  Any amendment to the Code of Fauquier County requires a public hearing before the adoption of a proposed Ordinance.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Hold a public hearing and amend Section 16-6(12) of the County Code to permit swimming in public pools as set forth in the attached Ordinance.
