Resolution to Authorize
the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to Sign a Memorandum
of Understanding Between the Meade Palmer Memorial
Committee, the Town of Warrenton and Fauquier County

|
Recently,
the County received a project proposal, draft Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) and conceptual drawing for the planned Meade
Palmer Memorial which is envisioned to be located next to the
Warren Green Building along Culpeper Street within the Town of
Warrenton. The project proposal and draft Memorandum of
Understanding were the subjects of a Board worksession in April.
At that time, the Board requested modifications to the
agreement to include additional coordination/approval points for
the County.
The
proposed changes to the MOU have been shared with the Town/County
Liaison Committee which has indicated support for the proposed
amendments and will recommend same to the Town Council following
the Board's action.
