Description:

|
A $10,000,000 (Ten Million) distribution was made to Fauquier County
from the Paul Mellon Estate Trust Fund for the purpose of
completing the Northern Sports Complex.
On March 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted a
resolution that approved allocation of the funds (see attached).
The Code of Virginia requires a public hearing when
amendments to the budget exceed the lesser of $500,000 or one
percent (1%) of the total budget.
