Topic               A Resolution Approving an Exception for Travel Expenses in Accordance with Travel Policy and Procedures 

Fauquier County’s adopted Personnel Policy Section 51 (“Travel Policy And Procedures”) provides that an appeal to the Board of Supervisors, through the County Administrator, is required in instances where funds for travel will exceed a $1,000 limit.  The Sheriff is requesting approval for a staff member to attend the Government Financial Officer’s Association Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, which is anticipated to cost approximately $1,200.  The attached resolution approves the exception to the County’s Travel Policy and Procedures.

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
