AMENDED
RESOLUTION AN
AMENDED RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
TO ACCEPT A PORTION OF WOODLAWN LANE FROM
ITS INTERSECTION WITH ALBRECHT LANE AND SPRINGDALE DRIVE,
AND GREENBRIER ROAD FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH WOODLAWN
LANE AND BROOKMOOR DRIVE
WHEREAS, the streets described below were dedicated to public use
by Deed of Dedication dated June 6, 1961, and recorded in Deed Book 213 at
Page 48, and currently serves at least three families per mile; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation has deemed this
County's current subdivision control ordinance meets all necessary
requirements to qualify this County to recommend additions to the
secondary system of state highways pursuant to Section 33.1-72.1 of the
Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended; and
WHEREAS, after examining the ownership of all property abutting the
street, this Board finds that speculative interest does not exist; now,
therefore, be it RESOLVED
by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 20th day of
May 2002, That the Board of Supervisors requests the following streets be
added to the secondary system of state highways pursuant to Section
33.1-72.1(D) of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended: (1)
A portion of Woodlawn Lane from its intersection with Albrecht Lane
to its intersection with Springdale Drive, a distance of approximately
0.16 miles; and (2)
A portion of Greenbrier Road from its intersection with Woodlawn
Lane to its intersection with Brookmoor Drive, a distance of approximately
0.214 miles; All
as shown on that certain GIS map dated March 5, 2002, and on that certain
plat of survey by R. M. Bartenstein & Associates recorded in Deed Book
213 at Page 48 among the land records of Fauquier County, Virginia, and
further shown on that Deed of Dedication dated June 6, 1961, said Deed
being recorded in Deed Book 213 at Page 48 among the aforesaid County land
records; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors
guarantees a clear and unrestricted right-of-way, as described, and any
necessary easements for cuts, fills and drainage; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That this Fauquier County Board of Supervisors
requests the Virginia Department of Transportation to improve said streets
to the prescribed minimum standards, funding improvements pursuant to
Section 33.1-72.1(D) of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended; and, be it
RESOLVED FINALLY, That a certified copy of this resolution be
forwarded to the Resident Engineer of the Virginia Department of
Transportation. |
