An Ordinance to Amend Section 19-18 of the Fauquier County Code to Authorize the Issuance of an Administrative Permit to Permit Individual Wells within 300 Feet of a Public Water Supply Where Capacity is Not Available but is Anticipated

Topic Description:

Currently, Section 19-18 of the County Code permits individual wells within 300 feet of a public water supply without capacity only by special exception.  This amendment would permit a temporary well to be constructed with an administrative permit, provided that public water is reasonably anticipated to be available within two (2) years.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption of the attached Ordinance.
