Topic: 

A Resolution to Authorize a Donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Fauquier, Inc. in the Amount of its  Real Estate Taxes

Topic Description:

The Boys and Girls Club is responsible, by the terms of its lease, for payment of the real estate taxes for its Keith Street location.  The Club would be eligible to be classified as exempt from taxation if it owned the property, and has requested that it receive a donation in the amount of its real estate taxes in order to permit it to better serve the needs of the community.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The first half taxes for 2009 were $5889.36 and the annual taxes due are currently $11,778.72.
