RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A SPECIAL EXCEPTION REQUEST, SPEX07-CR-015, FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MOTEL IN AN EXISTING STRUCTURE AT

VINT HILL

            WHEREAS, Greenwich Inn, applicant, is seeking Special Exception approval to locate and operate a motel in an existing structure on the Vint Hill property; and

            WHEREAS, on January 22, 2002, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors approved the Special Exception for a five (5) year period; and

            WHEREAS, the Special Exception has expired and re-approval of the Special Exception is required; and

            WHEREAS, on May 31, 2007, the Fauquier County Planning Commission recommended approval of the application, subject to conditions; and

            WHEREAS, on June 14, 2006, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors conducted a public hearing and considered written and oral testimony; and

            WHEREAS, On June 14, 2007, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors concurred with the Planning Commission and determined that the application satisfies the standards of the Zoning Ordinance; now, therefore, be it

            RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 14th day of June 2007, That SPEX07-CR-015 be, and is hereby, approved, subject to the following conditions:

  1. The Special Exception is granted only for the purpose(s), structure(s) and/or uses indicated on the Special Exception Plat dated November 15, 2001 as approved with the application, and qualified by these development conditions.
  2. The number of guestrooms shall be limited to 14 double occupancy rooms.
  3. The number of employees on site shall not exceed three (3) at any one time.
