Topic:             A Resolution Authorizing the Submission of a TEA-21 Grant Application for Improvements to the Bealeton Depot

Topic Description:

Construction of the new Bealeton Branch Library is well underway.  Associated with the library project is the use of the historic Bealeton Station Depot, which has been moved to the site and stabilized under the special exception conditions associated with the Bealeton Landmarks LLC project.  The County is seeking funds to restore the depot for community uses associated with the Library and the neighborhood.  TEA-21 grant funds provide a funding source to complete the renovations of the historic Depot.

Requested Action:

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Funds that will serve as the grant match have been previously donated and appropriated in conjunction with the Library project.
