PROCLAMATION

A PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE THE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS

 OF JEANNE BLACKWELL AS A MEMBER OF THE FAUQUIER COUNTY

DISABILITY SERVICES BOARD AND TO

FAUQUIER COUNTY CITIZENS WITH DISABILITIES

           WHEREAS, on September 5, 2000 , Jeanne Blackwell was appointed to the Disability Services Board of Fauquier County by the Board of Supervisors; and

            WHEREAS, Jeanne Blackwell has dedicated more than twelve years of her life, as well as considerable personal resources, to helping children and adults with physical and sensory disabilities, through the Virginia Regional Therapeutic Riding Center founded by her in 1994; and

            WHEREAS, Jeanne Blackwell actively serves in civic organizations, and has served on the Education Subcommittee for the Disability Services Board, and continues to be an active advocate for people who have physical and sensory disabilities; and

            WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors desires to express its sincerest appreciation to Jeanne Blackwell for her skilled, compassionate, loyal and dependable service to the citizens of this community; now, therefore, be it

PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 16th day of June 2003, That the Board of Supervisors honors and commends Jeanne Blackwell for her devoted service to Fauquier County ; and, be it

            PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors does hereby extend its warmest gratitude and offers its heartfelt best wishes to Jeanne Blackwell in all future endeavors.
