RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION REFERRING TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR ITS REVIEW, COMMENT AND RECOMMENDATION, PROPOSED CHANGES TO
 SECTIONS 2-503, 3-330, 3-331, 7-501, 7-502, 7-503, 12-501, 12-612.5, 12-612.6
 OF THE FAUQUIER COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE AND SECTIONS 17-5
 AND 19-8 OF THE FAUQUIER COUNTY CODE RELATING TO THE
PROVISION  OF SANITARY WATER AND SEWER WITHIN SERVICE DISTRICTS

            WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Zoning Ordinance currently permits use of wells within service districts under certain circumstances; and

            WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Code prohibits the use of wells in service districts where the landowner is within 300 feet of a public water line; and

            WHEREAS, the Virginia General Assembly has updated Title 15.1 and renamed it as Title 15.2; and

            WHEREAS, the proposed amendments to be reviewed by the Planning Commission would require properties located in service districts to use public water and sewer, except where a special exception is granted; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 16th of June 2003, That the following amendments to the Fauquier County Zoning Ordinance and the Fauquier County Code be, and are hereby, referred to the Planning Commission for its review, comment and recommendation.
