A Resolution to Allocate the $10,000,000 Paul Mellon Estate Distribution

Topic Description:

The Paul Mellon Estate gave a $10,000,000.00 (Ten Million) distribution to Fauquier County, from the Paul Mellon Trust Fund, for the purpose of completing the Northern Sports Complex. The Code of Virginia requires a public hearing when amendments to the budget exceed the lesser of $500,000.00 or one percent (1%) of the total budget.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Hold a public hearing to receive public comments and, if appropriate, adopt the attached resolution.
