Topic               A Resolution to Authorize Grant Acceptance and Appropriation of Funds for the Piedmont Dispute Resolution Center’s Restorative Justice Program

In a meeting assembled 18 March 2002, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors approved an application for Federal grant funds for a program used to conduct juvenile accountability conferencing for the Fauquier court system, known as the Restorative Justice Program.  The Restorative Justice Program is administered by the Piedmont Dispute Resolution Center with the County’s Finance Department acting as fiscal agent.  Based on the application, Fauquier County has been awarded a FY 2003 Federal grant in the amount of $25,732.  The attached resolution authorizes acceptance of the grant and appropriation of funds.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors

Adopt the proposed resolution.
