PROCLAMATION

A PROCLAMATION COMMENDING CITIZENS FOR FAUQUIER COUNTY FOR A SUCCESSFUL COUNTY-WIDE LITTER CLEAN-UP INITIATIVE

            WHEREAS, in observance of Earth Day, on April 24 and 25, 2004, a large coalition of more than twenty organizations participated in a roadside litter clean-up initiative in Fauquier County; and

            WHEREAS, this effort was organized by Citizens for Fauquier County; and

            WHEREAS, more than eight tons of trash were removed from the roadsides; and

            WHEREAS, this initiative contributed significantly to the beautification of Fauquier County; now, therefore, be it

            PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 21^st day of June 2004 That the Board wishes to commend the dedicated efforts of Citizens for Fauquier County, and to express appreciation for their hard work and perseverance in maintaining the County’s cleanliness and beauty.
