A Work Session with the Fauquier County Water & Sanitation Authority Board to Discuss the Marshall Water System and Related Water Storage Tank Special Exception Application

Topic Description:

A work session to provide background and an overview of the Fauquier County Water Authority’s Water System Services & Asset Purchase Agreement with the Marshall Waterworks II, Inc. regarding the Authority’s operation and proposed ownership of the Marshall Water System in Marshall, Virginia, and its relationship to a related infrastructure plan for an upgrade of the System and a Special Exception application for the proposed construction of a water storage tank in the vicinity of the Cannon Ridge subdivision.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Hold a work session to consider a special exception application for a water storage tank site.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

None to the County per se. However, should the BOS elect to deny this Special Exception application, any cost increases resulting from having to construct the tank in an alternate location will have to be paid by the customers of the Marshall Water System.
