Broadband Proposal Presented by Virginia Broadband, LLC

Topic Description:

There is a need for expanded broadband service in many areas of Fauquier County. Virginia Broadband is proposing a plan to provide broadband service to the County in two phases: Phase I – Southern Fauquier County; Phase II – remainder of the County.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Conduct a work session and consider support for the Virginia Broadband proposal.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

There is no fiscal impact at this time.  Consideration of Industrial Development Authority, Economic Development Authority and Virginia Resources Authority financing will be discussed.
