Topic Description: |

On June 12, 2008, the Board
adopted a resolution to go forward with a public referendum
during the November General Election for the implementation
of a food and beverage tax. Such tax is expected to yield
$2.2 million in potential revenue. This is a work session
to advise the Board on possible strategies to educate the
public regarding the benefits of such a tax for the
construction, maintenance and renovation of capital
projects. |
