A Resolution to Amend Finance Committee Policy # 2, Budget Adjustment Guidelines

Topic Description:

Attached for the Board of Supervisorsí consideration is a revised Finance Committee Policy. These revisions have been reviewed and recommended for approval by the Finance Committee. The two changes that are included are as follows:

  1. The County Administrator will be able to approve any inter-department transfer. Currently transfers over $25,000 are approved by the Finance Committee. This action will provide quicker response to operational needs.
  2. All Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) projects having no activity within a 18 month period will be reviewed by the Finance Committee for consideration to be closed with the remaining funds being transferred to the appropriate (County/Schools) Construction Reserve Account. The School Division has concurred on the working of this change.  This revision will allow for an improved use of available CIP funds.

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
