A
Resolution to Increase Funding for the Second Entrance to
Kettle Run High School and Greenville Elementary School |
|
Topic Description: |
|
During a June 14, 2007 Joint Work Session the
School Board briefed the Board of Supervisors on additional
costs related to the Second Entrance to the Kettle Run High
School and Greenville Elementary School. Based on the latest
projections the costs of these two projects are expected to
increase a total of $3.6 million; the Second Entrance from
$3.1 million to $3.8 million, Greenville Elementary from
$15.9 million to $18.8 million. A firmer estimate of the
Greenville Elementary School costs will be available with
the bid opening on July11, 2007. If approved, the additional
funding can be supported from a number of sources including
proffers, bond premium and interest and borrowing if
necessary. The attached resolution would approve the
additional funding and direct County staff to determine the
most efficient funding method.
