Topic: 

A Resolution Directing the County Administrator to Schedule a Public Hearing to Consider Establishing the Periodic Revalidation Fee for Parcels Currently Participating in the Land Use Program

Topic Description:

Since the inception of the Special Assessment for Land Preservation program known as the “Land Use” program, the Board of Supervisors have implemented periodic revalidation permitted by the Code of Virginia.

Each locality which has adopted a Land Use Ordinance may provide for the imposition of a revalidation fee every sixth year. Such revalidation fee shall not, however, exceed the application fee currently charged by the locality.

The last time the Board of Supervisors imposed this fee was in 2000 for the 2001 revalidation period.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
