A Public Hearing to Consider
Whether to Amend the November 10, 2005 Ordinance Setting a
Deadline for the Board of Equalization to Complete Its Work,
to Extend the Deadline from July 31 to August 31

Topic Description: |
|
Due to the high volume of
requests for hearings by the Board of Equalization, the
Board has requested that the deadline for completing its
work be extended by one month. The Board of Supervisors
sets the deadline by Ordinance, and must amend the
previously adopted Ordinance in order to extend the
deadline. The time for filing requests for hearings would
be unchanged. |

The sole financial impact
associated with the request is the additional salary for one
month of operating expenses by the Board of Equalization. |
