Topic: 

A Resolution Directing the County Administrator to Schedule a Public Hearing to Consider an Amendment to Permit Retired Emergency Service Volunteers to Obtain Multiple County Decals at No Charge

Topic Description:

The Code of Virginia authorizes the County to provide multiple County decals to retired volunteers at no cost.  In order to do so, the County Code must be amended.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

No financial impact is associated with the scheduling of a the public hearing.  If amended, the County would not obtain $25 per decal for any retired volunteer who requests to be afforded the exemption.
