A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AND THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO NEGOTIATE THE ACQUISITION OF A PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE COMMON OPEN SPACE FOR EDGEWOOD EAST SUBDIVISION IN THE LEE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Charles and Maryetta Jones are the owners of a parcel of real estate, commonly referred to as the common open space of Edgewood East Subdivision in the Lee Magisterial District, and being further identified as PIN 6889-73-9188, for public parks purposes.; and
WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department has indicated that it interested in the acquisition of the parcel for public parks and trail purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Jonesís have offered to either donate the property that is subject to the delinquent taxes to the County, or to sell to sell the property to the County for the cost of the delinquent taxes now assessed against the property; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 13th day of July 2006, That the County Administrator and the County Attorney be, and are hereby, authorized to take all actions necessary to negotiate the acquisition of a parcel of real estate, commonly referred to as the common open space for Edgewood East Subdivision in the Lee Magisterial District and being further identified as PIN 6889-73-9188 for public park purposes.
