Topic: 

A Resolution Approving Travel Expenses in Accordance with Travel Policy and Procedures – Environmental Services

Topic Description:

Fauquier County’s adopted Personnel Policy Section 51 (“Travel Policy and Procedures”) requires Board of Supervisors approval where expenses for travel will exceed $1,000.  The Department of Environmental Services is requesting approval for the Director to attend the SWANA Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, from September 19 – 21, 2006.  The costs are estimated to be approximately $1,169.  A number of important topics will be covered during the conference.  The attached resolution will approval the requested travel and related expense.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Funds budgeted as part of the FY2007 budget process.
