ORDINANCE TO APPROVE REZONING REQUEST #RZ02-L-07
DONALD
K. BEAVER – BEAVER PROPERTY
PARCEL I.D. #6899-16-9372-000
WHEREAS,
Donald K. Beaver, the owner, has initiated a request to rezone a
1.618-acre parcel (PIN #6899-16-9372-000) from Rural Agricultural (RA) to
Commercial-Highway (C-2); and
WHEREAS,
the applicant has filed an application to amend the Fauquier County Zoning
Map, in accordance with the provisions of Article 13-202 of the Fauquier
County Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS,
the proposed rezoning is in conformance with the Fauquier County
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2002, the Fauquier County Planning Commission
held a public hearing on the rezoning request of Donald K. Beaver; and
WHEREAS, at it's meeting on May 30. 2002, the Fauquier County
Planning Commission approved a motion recommending denial of the requested
rezoning; and
WHEREAS, on July 15, 2002, the Board of Supervisors held a public
hearing on this rezoning request; and
WHEREAS, by the adoption of this Ordinance the Board of Supervisors
has determined that the public necessity, convenience, general welfare, or
good zoning practice is satisfied by this amendment to the Fauquier County
Zoning Map; now, therefore, be it
ORDAINED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 15th
day of July 2002, That Rezoning Request #RZ02-L-07 to change the zoning
designation of a 1.618-acre parcel at the northwest quadrant of the
intersection of Routes 17 and 28, identified as PIN #6899-16-9372-000,
from Rural Agricultural (RA) to Commercial-Highway (C-2) be, and is
hereby, approved, subject to the boundary survey plat dated February 12,
2002. |
