RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION
TO AMEND THE
FY 2002
ADOPTED BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $880,953
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is charged by the Code of
Virginia with the preparation of an annual budget for Fauquier County; and
WHEREAS, on March 19, 2001, the Fauquier County Board of
Supervisors adopted the Fauquier County FY 2002 Budget; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the fiscal year certain events occur
which necessitate changing the budget plan by increasing or decreasing the
total budget; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended appropriation of
$271,083 and transfer of $609,870 for the purpose set forth below; and
WHEREAS, the Code of Virginia requires local jurisdictions to hold
a public hearing for any amendment to the adopted budget exceeding the
lesser of $500,000 or 1% of the total budget, which is scheduled to be
held July 15, 2002; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 15th
day of July 2002, That the County Administrator be, and is hereby,
directed to consider amending the Fauquier County FY 2002 Budget in the
amount of $880,953 as follows:
